2027 with weeks starting on Monday
2027 begins on a Friday and ends on a Friday. Because 2027 has 365 days – 52 full weeks plus one day – the year starts and ends on the same weekday, whichever day you call the first of the week.

“Rows” counts the week rows a month grid needs. ISO week is the week number of that first Monday under ISO 8601.
What changes when Monday comes first
- One row fewer: January, February, October.
- One row more: August.
- Six-row months. With a Monday start: May, August. With a Sunday start: January, May, October.
- Weekends sit together. Saturday and Sunday are the last two columns, side by side, which many people find easier to read.
ISO week numbers in 2027
ISO 8601 weeks run Monday to Sunday, and week 1 is the week that contains the year's first Thursday. In 2027 that Thursday is January 7, so week 1 starts on Monday, January 4. January 1–3 still belong to week 53 of 2026. The last full week of 2027 is week 52, which ends on Sunday, January 2, 2028. If your workplace uses week numbers for planning, this is the numbering to match.
Which start day should you pick?
Monday is the first day of the week in the ISO 8601 standard and is common on calendars in the United Kingdom, much of Europe and Australia. Calendars in the United States and Canada usually put Sunday first. Neither is wrong – choose the one that matches your work week or the wall calendar you are replacing.
